St Joseph's School PTA
About the PTA
Our Parent Teacher Association is actively involved in organising many social and fundraising events at school and promoting links with the wider community. Please find listed below just some of the items our PTA have funded. All parents are automatically members of our PTA and you are all most welcome to attend any of our meetings. These are advertised on the parents’ notice board and in the school bulletin and are friendly and informal. Don’t worry if you find it hard to get to evening meetings. There are lots of ways in which you can become involved - helping to organise a school disco or treasure hunt, catering on Sports Day or helping to run a stall at the summer fete. This is the major fund raising event of the year and is supplemented by discos, bingo and other fundraisers through the year.
In recent years the PTA has paid for:
- Gardening Equipment
- Garden Shed
- Bedding Plants
- Sensory Items
- Percussion Instruments
- Library Books
- Prayer Books
- First Holy Communion Books
- Digital Cameras
- Curriculum based Workshops.
- Costumes and props for school productions
- Light and sound equipment for Christmas Carol Concerts and productions
As well as fundraising, trained PTA members run swimming sessions in our school pool during the summer holidays. Families can buy a reasonably priced ticket and access the pool throughout the summer.
If you would like to find out more about the PTA please contact Kerrie Elson or Stacey Knapp c/o the school.
